Sharing good practices in the area of ​​social responsibility under discussion at the Transnational meeting of the URBACT project – Cities4CSR, which takes place on 28 and 29 April.


As part of the URBACT – Cities4CSR program, Guimarães, together with 9 other international cities, stood out for sharing a set of good practices and experiences with regard to the area of ​​corporate social responsibility.

The session was attended by several national participants, in which Ricardo Costa, Councilor for Economic Development of the Municipality of Guimarães, Miguel Martins, CEO of Sebastião e Martins SA and Clara Castro, Director of Cercigui, stood out.


During the session, the Guimarães Marca project was also presented, a program for the affirmation and promotion of the economic and cultural fabric of the municipality and the Social Network of Guimarães, a project that aims to combat poverty and social exclusion by promoting local social development.


URBACT Cities4CSR is a European program for learning and exchanging experiences, promoting and developing solutions to problems and challenges that arise in urban areas. The project has two main objectives: to establish relationships between the offer of corporate social responsibility actions and the needs of local social institutions and to share and replicate these good practices.


With a duration of two days, this event will be attended by participants from the 10 cities of this project: Milan (Italy), Nantes (France), Bratislava (Slovakia), Sofia (Bulgaria), Budaors (Hungary), Molina de Segura (Spain) ), Bratsa (Bulgaria), Kekava (Latvia) and Rijeka (Croatia), but highlights the cities of Guimarães and Rijeka, where they shared good practices and their experiences.
